What is Sew Lovely?
Sew Lovely is a wholesome endless runner that was inspired by my girlfriend and her crafts. This was my first mobile game that I published and gave me a lot of insight into designing games as a product. It has over 200 downloads on the Play Store

Sewing floor movement
The player travels through the game by sewing the floor. They toggle to lift/ sew their needle. The player has to sew every stitch on the floor to keep moving and raise their needle when the floor is no longer a stitch.
However, if they sew the stitches for longer and lift their needle before the stitch ends they gain bonus points. The player loses lives by missing stitches or touching the floor by accident.
Reflection
I was very happy with Sew Lovely as a cute little game, although I had some hope it would make money, it did not perform too well on the play store. It did make my girlfriend extremely proud and friends still play it as an offline game and it cheers them up.
I think Sew Lovely lacked a lot of content but it was mainly confusing for what it was worth. It tried to be a different endless runner but some of the core ideas do not make sense. For a first humble game I cannot complain.
